Finding a personal style

Today is one of those blog posts I haven't planned. While a lot happened in my week, I don't want to talk about work or depressing doomerism here. So, you will have to be content with a little fashion advice from me.

Occasionally, we find pieces we really like, for me, it's parachute pants, those with the bungee cords at the bottom. I love the wideness, volume and even the swooshing noise they make. The bungee cords allow you to leave them wide or closed, which is a blessing for framing different sneakers since I always struggle with high-tops and pants combinations. But as I am here, still in the process of remaking my wardrobe and changing my style, I am hyperfocused on different pieces, I skip things of which I own one in a similar style, in an effort to cover the greatest amount of shapes and vibes. Just in case.

Well, you don't have to do that; you can just buy two pairs of parachute pants! Different colors, materials, details, or even branding (substitute "parachute pants" for whatever piece you like). It is, in fact, the natural progression: you found your personal style, so instead of reach, you go for depth.

Instead of trying to find something you like that is different, you can just get something you love and already have to increase the potential of that silhouette. And let me tell you, I love the new parachute pants I bought.
